Prospects for implementing distance education at the faculty of postgraduate education

Abstract


There is a need for informal education against the background of reforms in the healthcare system including postgraduate education and adoption of continuing professional development system for health professionals. This article highlights challenges of enhancing the effectiveness of postgraduate education of interns and practitioners receiving further training. It also considers the need for wider implementation of distance education into teaching practices. Ways of improving the types and methods of independent study among practitioners and interns have been suggested.
